History

The Ford Fiesta Mk2 represented Ford's refinement of their bestselling supermini, combining practicality with surprising character. This particular example, first registered on 31st January 1986 through Gilbert Rice Ltd in Sussex, lived a carefully preserved life through its first four owners, accumulating just 40,679 miles over three decades.

In July 2016, the car found its perfect custodian in Christian 'Bisty' Dann, a Cornwall-based restaurateur and lifelong Mk2 Fiesta enthusiast. Christened 'Geraldine', this yellow gem became a social media sensation through the popular TikTok account 'geraldinethefiesta', documenting her adventures around Cornwall alongside Bisty's 1974 GMC food van. The car's remarkably preserved grey 'Fife' trim and original dealership number plates spoke to decades of careful ownership, a rarity for vehicles often subjected to parking knocks.

When Geraldine required welding work in 2020, Bisty commissioned Perranwell Garage to fit new sills and undertake comprehensive mechanical restoration, ensuring this cherished Fiesta would continue bringing joy for years to come. This model celebrates not just an iconic car, but a genuine automotive love story.
