History

Ford introduced the ST badge in 1997 with the Mondeo ST24, creating a performance tier that sat below the flagship RS models while delivering an exhilarating driving experience. The Focus joined the ST family in 2003 with the ST170, and both Focus and Fiesta ST variants quickly became favourites among enthusiasts who appreciated their perfect balance of sporting response, everyday practicality, and accessible pricing.

The Focus ST Mk3 made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011, immediately earning praise from the motoring press for its 247bhp turbocharged 2-litre EcoBoost engine. This particular ST2 specification added distinguished features including the striking 18" 5-Spoke 'Y' design alloy wheels, aggressive rear diffuser with dual central exhaust tailpipes, and the complete ST bodystyling kit that emphasised its performance credentials.

This model represents the actual car now owned by Kent-based gearbox technician and lifelong fast Ford enthusiast Stewart Bevan, who acquired it in February 2024 as his fifth ST Ford. Having journeyed from its Norwich registration through Scotland and finally to Kent, this Focus ST2 exemplifies the enduring appeal of Ford's Sports Technologies philosophy, delivering genuine driver engagement wrapped in practical, everyday usability.
